A space for easy presence
There's no pressure here, just a relaxed, conversational atmosphere where you're free to be yourself. Between the Lines is centered on scripture, treating it as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. While it is not a church or even an alternative church, we offer a warm, comforting, and inviting place where you can explore scripture, ask questions, wrestle with doubt, and grow in faith through guided discussion and open conversation. Passive participation is valuable and welcome. Feel free to sit in silence and absorb the evening's themes if that's more your pace.
What to expect at a gathering
Imagine walking into a house where you no longer have to knock. That's the feeling Between the Lines aims for. You'll find fresh bread, warm coffee, cocoa, and tea available. A large table is set, ready for us to gather around and discover scripture together. Blankets and Bibles are always on hand. We sit around the table with our refreshments, talking about what the Bible shows us about who Jesus is and how he meets us in the threshold. We anchor ourselves in the truth of scripture as it relates to our current journey and where we're headed. No pressure to know your way around a Bible or have all the answers; we'll figure it out in real time, together. Afterwards, we say goodbye. That's the beauty of Between the Lines—it's a refuge along the way, a bridge for people to cross and come closer to Christ.
